State Park
The park has 39 standard campsites, 11 partial-hookup sites with electricity and water hook-ups, one water trail campsite available only to campers who arrive at the park in human-powered watercraft, one restroom (ADA), and two showers (one ADA). Maximum site length will accommodate most extra-large RVs (limited availability). There is no trailer dump station available at this park. The campground is open March 1 - Oct. 31 by reservation.
The park provides a group camp that accommodates up to 60 people. The camp is located on a bluff down the Point Partridge Road. A vault toilet and running water are at the site. Flush toilets and showers are a five-minute walk down an easy trail. Minimum number of people is 20 with a maximum of 60. Maximum number of cars is 20. The group camp is open April 1 through Oct. 31.

Set on the western side of Whidbey Island, Fort Ebey was constructed as a coastal defense fort during the Second World War. Its battery was dug into a high bluff and is great fun for kids, adult kids and World War II aficionados. Don't forget your headlamp or flashlight. The park's concrete gun emplacements and underground rooms are great for exploration.
Emerging from the battery, you'll find 25 miles of mixed-use walking and bike trails. The bluff trail overlooks Admiralty Inlet and offers peek-a-boo views of Point Wilson Lighthouse across the bay. Douglas-fir and hemlock provide shade along forested trails sprinkled with pink big-leaf rhododendrons in season. One more thing: Fort Ebey sunsets are unbeatable on a clear evening.
Seaweed harvesting is allowed on the beach between April 16 and May 15; be sure to get a seaweed and shellfish license.
Into active outdoor play? Surfing is a popular beach activity, and paragliding is allowed. Paragliders like to take off from the former parade lawn on the bluff. For observers, it's a stunning visual to behold.

We reserved a spot here on a whim after a late ferry ride from the Olympic Peninsula. It’s pretty standard campground fare. Some sites are more private than others. Some are practically on top of each other. Lots of kids when we were here. Generally a pretty area.

Crowded but nice walks, historical features
Kind of a weird use of space in this campground. Most sites don’t have a sense of privacy (some are literally right next to each other with no clear delineation where one ends and the other begins), but there were a lot of “extra vehicle parking only, no camping” spots that would have been nice for a tent or a small car.
The historical intrigue is unique and the majority of hikes are dog friendly — well done.

Nice park!
The only issue we had is we have Verizon and there Is like no service at all. Couldn't even get Facebook to load on our phones. It also says online that there is wifi and we've been there dozens of times even just for the day and we've been unable to pick it up on our devices. The bathrooms and showers are nice and they keep them clean!

Good privacy, lots to see and do at Fort Ebey
I like Fort Ebey a lot. The campsites are generally large and well separated by foliage, even in winter.
There are great hiking and mountain biking trails through forest, ocean views and beach access, and it's also fun to explore the old WWII facilities. Bring flashlights.
We've camped here a few times, and we've seen wildlife each time, mostly deer. It's a good place to make memories!

Beautiful in late spring
My daughter and I camped at Fort Ebey during Spring Break and it was a lovely time with many Scotch Broom and other seaside flowers were in bloom. We didn't have a view where we were but I loved the wooded area and it was just a short walk to the bluff overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca. There are old (but well maintained) battery and concrete gun emplacements from WW2 when the Fort was used to defend the West coast. There are so many fun walking paths around the bluffs as well as a beautiful hike around Lake Pondilla with interpretive signage naming the native moss and lichen. There are also several mountain biking trails around the park and lots to do and see at the beach!

Clean state park
The first thing you notice about this campground is that the sites are tightly packed. There is not a lot of privacy. With that being said, this is a fantastic campground. The sites are bigger then expected, they are level and could accommodate 2 medium size tents. The restrooms were clean with pay showers. Ice and fire wood are available at the entrance. A short drive to the bluffs looking over the straits was a highlight of our stay.

Forested state park
This park has plenty of options for everyone. Hiking, paragliding, biking, and just watching the sound are all options. We did not go to the beach and can’t comment. The campsites are separated for the most part and give you a feeling of being away from your neighbor even though it is pretty stacked. The bathrooms had pay showers and we clean. Each site had a table and fire ring.
For the money, it feels like WA state parks are expensive but this area was nice and I’ll be back.

Relaxing car camping with amazing views
The campground was really nice, and was located in a densely forested area. Most of the campsites have a lot of privacy and are not very close together. The campsite was very well maintained and raked when we arrived. Each campsite has a picnic table and a fire pit. The campground has only one bathroom located near the center of the campground, so keep that in mind when you're choosing your campsite. The bathrooms were very well maintained, and had hand soap available in the sink area. There also showers in the bathroom. Shower tokens, fire wood and ice, are for sale at the state park office at the main entrance of the park. There are water spigots throughout the campground. There are also trails that lead to a stunning bluff area.

Fun state park
Nice sites, very clean and well kept, privacy between sites isn't great, lots to do, nice hiking and biking trails.

Wonderful Area!! Gorgeous Bluffs!
Fort Ebey was such a beautiful experience! A beautiful sunset every night! Easy access to Deception Pass State Park as well as a quick drive down all of Whidbey Island. We loved our experience there so much it was the inspiration to the name of our old Westfalia -- Ebey. Less busy than Deception Pass but close enough you can still go. Close to Oak Harbor (just in case you forgot to pack something)

Well set up campground
Fort Ebey is a great place to pull up your car/ trailer or RV. The campground is easy to find from the highway and the facilities are very clean and there's a number of showers and bathrooms around the campground. There's a few walk-in tent sites off the road that are a little more secluded.
As far as things to do there's the old bunkers and batteries to explore right next to the campground. There's also a great hiking trail that begins at the campground and takes you along the bluff and shoreline to Ebey's Landing Historic Park. There's a number of historic buildings in the area and everyone I talked to was friendly and more than happy to explain the history of the area.
The campground is out of town a ways from Coupeville so make sure to stop by the IGA on your way out of town to grab some food and whatever else you may need for your stay.
Tip: As this is considered a state park don't forget to bring your discovery pass! They also sell them at the front check-in station.

Well Kept Sites and Amazing Views
Ebey State park camping was quite luxurious (as far as camping goes)! The sites are extremely well kept, bathroom facilities very clean, and you can't beat the views from the bluff. This, of course, comes at a cost - we wandered into one of the higher priced sites ($35/night). They do also have $25 standard sites. I did appreciate the extra space and privacy of the larger site. It would also be great for more people as well (allow up to 2 cars w/ +$15 for second car and up to 8 people per site).

- Exploring the old battery
- Walk to the beach (trail is off the bluff, steep and long. Bring water!)
- A quick drive to Fort Casey to explore more battery sites
- Breakfast at Knead and Feed in Coupeville
