As an RV traveler, we don’t have small children. So sometimes we like to camp in a kid free environment. Which usually means a quiet and peaceful place. That is why, I was happy to discover quite a few adult only campgrounds where you don’t necessarily have to be 55+ in order to stay.
So, if you’re looking for a list of adult only campgrounds, you’re in the right place. This list will help you find the perfect place to plan an awesome adult getaway!

1. Creekwood Resort | Sautee Nacooschee, GA
Located in the north Georgia mountains, Creekwood Resort offers a quiet place to stay with nearby hiking trails and fishing. Creekwood is a 21+ adult community with paved road, concrete sites and full hook ups.You can stay by either RV sites or cabin rentals with a 3, 4, or 5 night minimum stay, depending on the unit.
The nearby attractions include the scenic town of Helen, GA and Unicoi State Park. Making it a nice place to both relax and explore.
2. Champlain Resort Adult Campground | Grand Isle, VT
On the shore of Lake Champlain, you will find Champlain Resort. At this adult only campground, you can stay in a tent, a full hookups site or a cottage rental. The resort is only open during season from May 15th to October 5th with a 3 or 4 night minimum stay.
The resort is tucked away among twenty-six acres of cedars and orchards. So you’ll be sure to have spacious campsites, shaded areas, natural beauty with a quiet place to relax.
And lastly its just a 30 minutes’ drive to Burlington,Vermont.
3. Lakewood RV Resort | Hendersonville, NC
Lakewood RV Resort is a 55+ only community located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. All sites are 30/50 amp hookups with concrete pads, picnic tables and free wifi.
There is not a minimum stay, however this park does have recreational vehicle restrictions and does not allow tent camping, pick up campers or RV units smaller than 20 feet. So verify your equipment before making a reservation.
The resort is just 30 minutes from Asheville NC and an hours’ drive to Smoky Mountain National Park.
4. Deep Creek Hot Springs Campground | Apple Valley, CA
You”ll find the Deep Creek Hot Springs Campground tucked back in the Deep Creek Desert on the Bowen Ranch Homestead. It is a small 12 sites primitive campground with tents, small campers and glamping tent rentals. Flush toilets, solar showers and potable water are available on site.
This campground is not officially “adult only.” However, it is not recommended for children because of the clothing optional rule and difficulty of the hike to the hot springs.
5. Potter’s Place Adult RV Park | Lebanon, ME
Nestled in a wooded valley, Potter’s Place is part of an operating tree farm. The campground encompasses over 160 acres of woods with a 6 acre pond and spring fed stream. There are 100 sites with electric and water hookups along with a tank pump-out service for a small fee.
There is no minimum for nightly stays and the campground is for adults of all ages.
Old Port Portland is only a 45-minute drive and a 30 minute drive to the beach.
6. VIP La FeriaWest RV Park | La Feria, TX
La Feria West is an adult RV resort for all ages. You can stay for a night, a week, month or the entire winter season. Sites include full hookup 30 & 50 AMP sites. With many amenities such as heated swimming pol hot tub, live music, pool tables, laundry, bath house and more.
The park is located just under an hour to South Padre Island. And not far from the border of Mexico, if you want to explore nearby on a day trip.
7. 4 Paws Kingdom | Rutherfordton, NC
4 Paws Kingdom is a dog-centric campground for dogs and adults. This unique concept is the first and only dog dedicated campground in the North America. With amenities for both pet and their people it’s an adult pet lovers paradise. And for added safety, all the parks have 4 foot tall fences.
You can stay by cabin, RV rentals or RV sites with a 2 night minimum. Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains and open from mid March until the end of November. So, if you have a friendly pet, it’s something to check out.
8. Hidden River Resort | St. George, FL
Hidden River Resort is a clothing optional campground located near the Florida/Georgia border. Open year round, this 88 acre retreat is the perfect spot to tune into your mind and body.
The campground offers a social center, pool, hot tub, riding trails, fitness activities and more. They welcome first time guests and offer very affordable rates for everyone.Of the adult only campgrounds, this is one of only two clothing optional campgrounds on the list.

11. Kings’ Row RV Park & Campground | Las Vegas, NV
Just a short drive from the strip, Kings Row RV Park is located in the heart of Las Vegas. This adult only park offers a variety of amenities including swimming pool, laundry room and gated dog area at an affordable rate. This older RV park is a mix of short term and long term residents and has been family operated for 65 years.
They have 200 full hook ups sites and allow tent camping. They do however have restrictions on recreational units made before 2008. So you’ll need to call for a managers approval if you have an older RV.
12. Wild Duck Campground & RV Park | Scarborough, ME
Wild Duck is a small 70 site park set back among the largest salt water marsh in Maine. Its a great place for birdwatching and outdoor adventure with nearby walking and kayaking trails. They offer full hookups campsites and tent sites with fire rings, laundry facilities, bath house and firewood for sale at the office.
We stayed at this campground and enjoyed it. It is an older campground, so the trees are mature, making it great for shade however difficult for big or tall campers to manuever at times. They offer sites with a back in marsh view. Just pack the bug spray, because the mosquitos can be brutal.
Located just a 25 minute drive to Portland and Kennebunkport Maine.
13. Hilton Head National RV Resort | Bluffton, SC
Hilton Head National RV Resort is a family friendly campground with an adult only camping area. This area includes an adult only pool and clubhouse with access to the main facility. All sites are 70 feet long with full hook ups and some have views of the golf course and lake.
The resort has 2 pools, planned activities, on site restaurant, pickle ball, game room, fitness center and access to Hilton Head National Golf Club. Also, the resort is only a short drive to Hilton Head Island. There you can enjoy the beach, shopping, lots more golf courses and dining.
We loved staying at this resort! The welcomed country club feel made it hard to say good bye.

14. The Woods Campground | Lehighton, PA
The Woods Campground is America’s premier LGBTQIA+ camping resort. This membership only campground offers cabin rentals, RV and tent sites. It’s a clothing optional adult-only resortoffering a range of amenities and themed weekends. Making it a fun place for a weekend getaway with like minded people.
The campground season is from May to October. And the 2024 calendar of events is already posted, so make sure to check it out. The campground also offers RV storage and RV valet services.
15. Serenity Springs, La Porte, IN
Serenity Springs is an award winning couples resort offering year round romantic getaways. This camping experience includes 30 private cabins spaced over 85 private wooded acres. Every cabin comes with modern conveniences, including a fireplace, whirlpool tub, and more.

16. Keystone Heights RV Resort | Keystone Heights, FL
Keystone Heights RV Resort is located just northeast of Gainesville. They offer big rig friendly full hook up sites for all motorhomes, travel trailers and 5th wheels. With an array of amenities such as pickle ball, mini golf and heated swimming pool, there is something for everyone.

17. Edge O Dells | Wisconsin Dells, WI
Edge O Dells is Wisconsin’s only 21+ adult resort open seasonally form April 1st to October 31st. Located on the edge of Wisconsin Dells this campground offers RV sites, luxury cabins, motel rooms rental homes.
The campground also has a full restaurant, 4 bars on-site, offers live music 5 nights a week and 6 weekend special events. The campground offers a fun, social atmosphere in a camping environment.
18. Low Key Hideaway Motel and RV Resort | Cedar Key, FL
Low Key Hideaway is a tiki bar, motel and RV park all in one. It’s the smallest of the adult only campgrounds with less than 10 sites and is located on the water. Cedar Key Island is just a short drive or bike ride into the town.
Having stayed here, its more about the experience than it is the amenities. And we loved it. They have new owners since we first visited in 2021, so we are excited to see the changes when we visit again.
19. Mountain Valley RV Resort| Heber City, UT
Voted #1 for the best luxury RV Resort in the U.S.. Mountain Valley RV Resort is a family friendly resort with the recently completed Phase II which is an adult only part of the park. Full hookup sites are available with array of amenities.
Located in the beautiful Rocky Mountains and just 45 minutes from Salt Lake City. The resort is open year round for skiing and summer activities.
