(This day ahead recap episode airs in the USA on October 2. Expect spoilers! Recaps go live by 4:15 PM EST daily.)
In Victor’s office, Audra makes a pitch to Victor and wishes she’d had time to create a prototype for him.\
She complains that Kyle has been sabotaging her. He chuckles.
Victor mentions that Kyle told him that she slipped up and revealed his role in the company to Nate.
She says that Kyle is trying to undermine and is only interested in himself, not the company.
Kyle joins them and Victor asks if he cares to defend himself against his partner’s accusations that he’s been undermining her.
He and Kyle start bickering and accuses each other of undercutting one another.
Eventually, Victor tells them to prove they are competent to run a company.
When they get back to bickering, he stops them and declares it’s clear only one of them can be in charge.
They need to prove which of them is expendable. Kyle accepts the challenge. Audra crosses her arms.
Jack joins Diane for breakfast at Society and fills her in about his abrasive encounter with Billy.
He mentions that his brother said that trouble is brewing at Newman Enterprises. That could be good for them.
He fills her in on the conflict between Victoria and her father over how to deal with Billy.
Diane reminds him that he can’t solve his brother’s problems. He needs to let him sink or swim on his own. They have enough problems to deal with.
Jack doesn’t know where her attitude is coming from.
She reminds him they have things to take care of at Jabot, like hiring Kyle’s replacement.
He worries that won’t help create peace but she doesn’t see how it can make things worse. They need to move forward.
When he accuses her of caring more about the company than their son, she’s appalled.
He walks off to take a call.
Audra walks in and Diane leaps up to corner her, asking what it will take to get her to take her claws out of Kyle.
They start trashing each other and Audra insists she has no interests in Kyle.
Audra accuses her of exploiting her situation and Diane reminds her that her career is due to sleeping with Tucker.
Jack returns and ends this. Audra walks off and watches as Jack and his wife loudly argue about their lack of trust.
Kyle heads to the Abbott estate. After spotting his mom’s laptop open, he starts digging through her new projects.
Kyle returns to Victor’s office and tells him he can prove that he is what Glissade needs and Audra is not.
He promises him a game-changing moisturizer that is in the works at Jabot. This will make them a superior company.
Victor laughs and asks what they are waiting for. Kyle will only go through with this if Audra is fired.
Moments later, Audra arrives, claiming she has intel that could thwart the competition. She saw Jack and Diane fighting and their could be turbulence at Jabot.
She’s sure that Kyle has been hiding this and will never turn his back on his parents. She adds she has no personal attachments to hold her back.
When he mentions Kyle was there, she says she can counter anything he’s offered.
Victor looks at his phone. Thanking her for her service, he fires her.
Kyle walks into Society and bumps into his parents, saying that even they can’t ruin bus day.
His mom wonders if this is about Audra. “Audra who?” he asks.
