Characters: Colt and Tae were both well-developed, interesting characters with plenty of flaws to make them realistic. I also enjoyed seeing Ranger and Noemi, the main characters of Sunburst (the second book in this series), again.

Language: Clean.

Moral/theme: Sundown featured themes of surrender, redemption, and family.

Plot: Sundown, even though it was labeled "contemporary romance," had a ton of action, high stakes, and suspense in addition to the romance. It was definitely a fast, exciting read.

Random comments: After hearing about viruses and vaccines for way too many years of my life, I probably should've been frustrated by all the mentions of smallpox and its corresponding vaccine in this novel. But I guess I was already engrossed in the story.

Romance: Clean. Just kissing.

Writing: I love Susan May Warren's writing. She gives each character such a human voice, and her style is so smooth and clear.

Overall: Sundown was an exciting read that I'd recommend to those who love Christian fiction, contemporary romance, and action/adventure stories.

Disclosure: I received this book free from Revell through Interviews & Reviews. The opinions I have expressed are my own, and I was not required to write a positive review. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.

This last book in the Sky King Ranch series is one wild ride, from Alaska to Seattle to Florida. Sundown in Colt's story, former Delta Special Ops soldier. He is the third triplet of the Kingston brothers and my favorite of the three. He is a fun guy who is trouble but is really hurting inside. He has regrets and feels unworthy. In the first book, Dodge and Echo find a woman stranded in the wilds, almost frozen. She lets them know that she doesn't know who she is and cannot talk. But really, she is afraid. When Colt is injured in Nigeria in the second book, he returns home, and she is staying at the Kingston ranch. She takes care of Colt, and he calls her Flo (Florence Nightingale). Flo is really Taylor, a doctor who works with deadly viruses and is being sought after by bad Russians. She is also hurting and recently burnt by a conniving Russian who claimed to care for her. This has a complicated plot that involves all three brothers, lots of former soldiers, and people tied to the higher ups in the US government. Ranger and Noemi's story carries over into this story heavily. Action, danger, suspense, romance, and faith are all qualities that make a Susan May Warren book so exciting and great. I received a complimentary copy from Revell Publishing and NetGalley. All thoughts are mine only.

This is what happens when I'm bored and haven't been on NetGalley for a while: I request the third book in a series when I haven't read the first two. Not smart. And it's a Clean Romance, not a genre I have had a lot of luck with. I only ask that the plot is great and the characters likeable, that's not much to ask. I went back and read the other two books in this series and I'm very glad I did, otherwise I would have been totally lost. What we have here is a ripped from the headlines plot. Instead of Covid we have a deadly strain of smallpox and instead of China being the baddie, it's Russia. Not a bad plot, but all the melodrama, endless dwelling on emotion and over the top angst was just too much to save what could have been a pretty good suspense story. I will have to give a star for the action scenes, they were great. This is a difficult book for me to put a rating to. I loved parts of it, and I didn't like parts of it.

When former Delta Operative Colt Kingston wakes up at his family ranch in Alaska, the sight that greets him makes him think he has died and gone to Heaven. But the Florence Nightingale tending his wounds has deep, dark secrets that bring danger to his family. Her story is so farfetched as to not be believed, but it is true and not just his family, but the whole world is in danger and only his beautiful Flo has the ability to save it, if he can keep her alive, that is.

Tae knows that a lot is riding on her, and she isn't going to be the reason anyone else dies. The Russian Mafa thugs searching for her have found her, but the Kingston brothers were able to defeat them, this time. Now it's time to go, alone. But for one tenacious Kingston brother, a promise is a promise and Colt is determined that nothing is going to happen to Tae as she attempts to save the world. But what Colt and Tae don't realize: They are not in control - God is in control both of the situation they find themselves in and of their lives.

Just a bunch of action I didn't care about.

This is the third book in the Sky King Ranch trilogy and you definitely have to read the first two books to understand anything that is going on in this book.

You follow the last brother who needs to have some action and romance and boy does this book give it to him. I liked Colt in the first 2 books, but he just didn't interest me in this one. The action was too much to feel connected to the characters.

I also didn't like the romance very much. I didn't see the connection there and it felt forced. It was like if there wasn't a Russian threat looming, the characters wouldn't have any substance or reason to exist. 🤐

I'm not done with Susan May Warren by any means. The Christiansen Family series is amazing and an all time favourite. I wish she would write more books like that series over focusing so much on suspense.

While I really enjoyed book 1 and 2 in the Sky King Ranch Series, this one wasn't for me. I did enjoy the faith and action in this book - plus seeing characters from previous books was awesome. However, I just couldn't get on with the plot in this story and it was so heavy in the medical / science jargon that I was pulled out of the story. 2 stars

This is book 3 in the Sky King Ranch series with our main characters of Colt and Tae. We do get to see Echo, Dodge, Ranger and Noemi, which is nice as well and more of my favorite parts as they are characters from the previous books.

Colt is Dodge and Ranger's brother, so we are really seeing the Kingston brother's in action here. I really like the action parts of this book but sometimes it's a bit over the top -- still really engaging though.

This book centers around Tae - she is someone that was rescued on the Kingston brother's property in an Alaskan blizzard. They found a crashed plane that she survived with 1 person dead inside but 1 also missing. Her tale of survival is hard to believe so she isn't really trusted at first. That is, until those she claims were hunting her show up at Sky King Ranch causing trouble and all her secrets come to light --- things take off from here.

Tae is basically an infectious disease specialist / research doctor. She says there was an old ancient variant of Smallpox that has come up and could kill the world so she must be the one to save the world with her vaccine she created. The plane has Russians on board and all her notes about her vaccine and disease research were on the plane that crashed. She must start over to create her vaccine to save the world from this "airborne virus" that people "don't know they are infected with for weeks" sometimes and is "very dangerous". They question if the Russians trying to use the virus as a bio-weapon etc.

Colt is trying to protect Tae and they start building a relationship as they are trying to figure out everything together. I wasn't crazy about their relationship - just didn't connect with them much.

So where this fell flat for me is this book being primarily about saving the world from a virus with a vaccine. I feel like the COVID plotline was being told and I'm personally over reading and hearing about viruses and vaccines that it impacted the reading experience for me personally. While it was an action packed suspenseful story and keeps readers engaged, there was a lot of medical and science jargon I didn't really understand. I was just bogged down a lot with the descriptions.

Overall, this series is a really good series in book 1 and 2, but I just wasn't a fan of book 3. I am excited to pick up more Susan May Warren books though in the future. Thank you to Baker Publishing and NetGalley for a copy to honestly read and review.

I really enjoyed this series finale! Colt and Tae are the main characters in Sundown, however, I was happy that there were also quite a lot of Ranger and Noemi moments, as well. Even Dodge had a significant role in the story! So, it was fun to see the three triplets working together to save the world.

I loved the chemistry between Colt and Tae. They both carried some serious baggage from events of the past and needed to figure out a way to overcome those things holding them hostage and keeping them from being able to give their hearts freely to another. I also loved seeing Ranger and Noemi work through events and stresses as a newly married couple. They were so completely in love yet were having to deal with some heavy issues.

Sundown is the final book in the Sky King Ranch series and I think that readers could pick it up and enjoy an exciting ride without having read the earlier books in the series. I do think, however, that Sundown would be best enjoyed after having read Sunrise and Sunburst, because things built up in the first two books that get resolved in this one.

You could read just the Sky King Ranch series, but if you are looking for more adventure, then you should know that this series is also tied to some overarching threats to world leaders and the world in general that take place in some of this author’s previous novels. If you want to go back and enjoy the big picture and meet several characters who end up in this book, start with the Montana Marshalls series, then move to the Global Search and Rescue series, then onto the first two books of this Sky King Ranch series, then the Epic Story of RJ and York series, and end with Sundown. Whew! But those stories are all so worth it. Reading them has been such a fun adventure!

'Colt wasn't the only brave one here. Wasn't the only one who was ready to do violence to keep people safe.'

When I read a Susan May Warren book, it just consumes me. Totally. I will pick it up and dive in completely. I've been waiting on this one so eagerly because I just had to know what happens with Colt Kingston. These Kingston brothers, fraternal triplets, are as brave as they come, above and beyond. Loyal, fierce, protective and patriotic.

Warren knows exactly how to ratchet up the action and grab her readers with her deeply impactful spiritual thread. She plumbs the absolute depth of her characters' emotions as well. When you readone of her books, you definitely are all in, simply because there's no other way to read her books. This one is another one to add to my keeper shelf. Well done!

My thanks to Revell for a copy of this book. The opinion here is expressly my own.

*Bravery is not the absence of fear. It is doing what you must despite the fear.*
Susan May Warren delivers again with another story packed with action, danger and romance.
I appreciate the way she infuses faith into the story and presents a clear gospel message.
Although some scenes were a bit over-the-top, and I could not quite believe that some of her characters could get into so much trouble, it made for some exciting reading.
I may be a bit nit picky but I found the man bun a little outdated and how could the good guys beat up the bad guys wearing flip flops? And I take issue with Navy fighter jets being in WWII, when they weren’t used until the Korean conflict. But it was just an air show.
The heroes are tough military types and the heroines are just as tough. And it was good to see the brothers together with their lady loves. *With every sundown came a new morning. Redemption. Hope.*
Since this is book 3, you would benefit from reading the first two books before you tackle this one.
If you like former military types and romance fraught with angst, this series is for you.
*I won a copy of this book from Library Thing. I was not required to post a favorable review. All opinions are my own.*

A pulse racing adventure that brings together the Kingston brothers in a race against the clock to protect the woman with the antidote to a deadly biological weapon threatening humanity.

Colt Kingston knows that there is more to Tae than meets the eye, she is slowly regaining her memories, and parts of her story are checking out. Can he trust her when he doesn't know what she is hiding?

A riveting conclusion to a fantastic series, I loved how it brought the brothers together, in this satisfying cross country adventure, filled with adventure and intrigue. There are also strong themes of faith, and I liked how Tae and Colt come to trust each other and work together over the course of the book.

Overall, a thrilling read with excellent interaction and dialogue, adventure, faith, and romance. A must read for fans of the series, and it will pay off to read them in order. Definitely recommend!

Sundown is the third and final Sky King Ranch story and a really good conclusion. Even though not everything was 100% believable to me, I still found the storyline thrilling and it was a fast-paced read.

I loved the characters. After getting to know them in all three books, it's sad that this is their final one. I'm hopeful that Warren will have the brothers make appearances in future stories. :)

All in all, Sundown was a good story and one that I found worth the read. I'm looking forward to seeing what Warren writes next.

This is the conclusion to the Sky King Ranch series, and these books must be read in order as the storyline continues through each book. In this one, we are primarily following the third Kingston brother, Colt, and Tae, the girl that Dodge and Echo rescued in book one. The pov also switches quite a bit to Ranger and Naomi, the couple from book 2. Tae is a medical scientist and trying to create a vaccine for a possible biological weapon the Russians have. There is a ton of scientific and medical language as well as very detailed fight scenes. Apparently, Colt has nine lives and is able to survive these fights even with his medical condition. I liked seeing the brothers reconcile and work together to stop the attack, but I didn't care for the scientific/medical or the Russian aspect of the story. The ending provided an idea of the direction life is going to take them both professionally and personally.

I read this while I was sick so reviewing it is a little more difficult than the other books in the series. (My apologies to the author)
It continues the mystery threaded through the first two books, now through the eyes of daredevil Colt, and we get to see what experiences from his past made him that way. His story is sweet and heartbreaking. I kept forgetting Taylor was supposed to be a doctor since she acted younger, but she's also used to living alone and then went through recent trauma.
Noemi and Taylor have similar struggles being in love with men who live in the line of fire, and the Kingston brothers have to make decisions about whether to set their dangerous lives aside for love or whether they have a higher calling to live out. It was an interesting discussion about how God calls us to live and where our duty is.
Noemi received the surprise of her life, and had a major POV even though this wasn't technically her book. I think I'd prefer the author's books to be longer if she's going to incorporate more than the two main POVs (I've felt this way in other books of hers too) but I do like her books being about the whole family. I'd just prefer more rounded character development in that case since there's so many moving parts (Ranger's health issues, for one).
Lots of familiar faces show up for the final showdown. Overall a satisfying SMW, par for the course from her.

I read an ecopy from Netgalley and the publisher, but all opinions are my own.

Wow, this Kingston family. They are really something else. What I love about this series is we get all the family in each book. While each one may focus on one individual more than the others, they are all still there, part of the story and part of the family. I feel like I know them and am connected to them. I think it's pretty important to read this series in order. There are individual stories within a growing, overarching story.

I was excited to get to Colt. I knew there would be a lot to unpack there. Between him and Tae, there is SO MUCH. Colt is a jump right in kind of guy. He goes with his instincts and is quick to defend and protect. Tae really needs someone like him to depend on. I loved how their story unfolds through the series and how it really gains momentum in this book. It was so satisfying.

The story brings mystery, action, suspense, romance and danger on every page. It is fast paced and exciting which is exactly how this author writes and I love it. I've loved hanging with the Kingston family. They aren't perfect, they are all fighting physical, mental and emotional demons but they are solid. They are strong and they keep trying. They stand up for right and they fight hard when they need to. It's pretty awesome.

Content: peril, violence, death. Kissing. Christian elements.

Susan May Warren delivers again with an incredible action-packed, adrenaline filled tale complete with romance and unexpected plot twists. Sundown, the conclusion to her Sky King Ranch series is everything I hoped it would be and more. This is a series that you definitely want to read in order to get the maximum enjoyment and understanding of the storyline and characters. I have been wanting to read Colt Kingston's story ever since book 1, and it was the perfect conclusion to the series.

Fans of Susan May Warren's books will love the cameo appearances of members of the Caleb Group, the Montana Marshalls, and the Jones, Inc. team members. I love how the author incorporates previous characters into her current novels and how the characters overlap into various storylines. She really makes the characters come to life and feel like friends.

With topics relevant to today's society, such as a dangerous virus (not COVID) quickly turning deadly and the rush to stop its spread, and the beautiful faith element ever present in her novels, readers will not want to put this book down! The author has a phenomenal way of intertwining various storylines together in a way that readers will not see coming. Sundown is highly recommended for readers of action packed romantic suspense and contemporary romance.

This series has been such a fun, unpredictable ride. Colt was such a fantastic character. Flawed, but loveable. His inner dialogue was the best. I loved the man he was, his strength. His wounds, both emotional and physical made him even more endearing. I loved Tae and and her backstory. I loved the unique and relevant plot line Susan worked in with the bigger picture spanning all three books. I love how she has once again connected the these Alaskan boys to her bigger story world. So much fun. Oh and more Range and Noemi - such great development in their story. With cameos from some of my all time Susan May Warren characters, Sundown was the perfect conclusion to this epic series.

First of all, why does this series have to be OVER?! Imagine me whining like a child.

There was SO much to love about this story! First, the best part is that we get all three of the brothers in this story. The ladies as well! They all make an incredible force to be reckoned with.

Suspense in the name of the game from beginning to end. Of course, that's to be expected with any SMW story. For Tae, danger seems to follow her everywhere. Good thing Colt is committed to keeping her as safe as possible. Colt always heads into danger without counting the cost thought.

It's so great to watch Colt, Ranger, and Dodge use their various skill sets to get jobs done! They're a trio you don't want to be on the bad side of!

The way the story unfolds, it's understandable that the brothers don't quite believe Tae's story of why she's being hunted. But, when you look at the world around us, is it really so far-fetched? The writing of this story makes you realize how "easy" it could be for a world disaster to happen. Good thing there are people like Tae in the world who battle disaster the way only people like her can.

The suspense in the story had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Just when we come up for breath the author takes us back into the crazy. I appreciate the author's strong faith thread throughout the story. Seeing the characters wrestle with their past in regards to God is a theme that will speak to many of us.

While I'm sad this story is coming to an end, I can see where some new characters may show up in a future series. Here's to hoping!

This series has been a thrill ride and this book was packed full of action and danger. From the previous book I knew that Colt was an adrenaline junkie and he definitely lived up to the hype. The plot was fast moving and there were plenty of intense moments. This book heavily featured all of the Kingston men. The reader switches from different POVs while still tackling the over arching plot, I do wish it had been a little more centrally focused on Colt, but it was nice to get more from Doge and Ranger’s perspectives. I did not connect with Tae at all. I had a hard time visualizing her as a competent and capable doctor who had the skill set to create a life saving vaccine. She was emotional, didn’t often use common sense, and I just didn’t think she and Colt had any chemistry.
About halfway through this book I began to struggle with it. The plot became super unrealistic as multiple characters from previous books just pop up to help. Without giving spoilers I can just say that the amount of dangerous situations was a bit over the top for my taste and the book took a turn that I was hoping it would not. Personally I’m ready to move on from plots that heavily feature mentions of infectious diseases, vaccines, and bio weapons. Too soon kids, too soon. There were several long action scenes that were detailed and I got bogged down in the descriptions. The conclusion wrapped everything up nicely however and I am a sucker for a happy ending, especially in a series.

It was great to once again return to Alaska and the Kingston family. Since the first book I've wanted to know about the mysterious brother Colt and this book did not disappoint. This was a fast paced read that you just could not put down. You wanted to find out what was going to happen next and who the villain was. There is even some surprises I was not expecting.

I absolutely loved that all three brothers were working together in this story. The way that the story unfolded for Tae was wonderful and how both her and Colt came to terms with needing to rely on God was realistic. The redemption arc between Colt and his brother was expected and definitely needed in this conclusion to the series.

I'm not going to divulge all the secrets of this story but I will say that this is one of those series that you have to read from the beginning to get to know the storyline and the family. If you enjoy romantic suspense, swoon worthy characters, hunky male characters then this is the story for you!

"The fact is, if you try to depend on yourself and all your amazing talents and abilities to fight this war, you will run dry. The more you try to control, the more you find slipping out of your hands. You must trust in God, in his victory. And in his goodness, even in the face of defeat. Without him, we would be helpless."

Talk about a bombshell quote, right? I keep finding some many great quotes and life lessons in the books I'm reading lately. And this book is one of those.

This is my first read of Susan's, and I have heard so much about her books from other reviewers and the blogger community.

Sundown is the third in the Sky King Ranch series that focuses on three unique brothers and their family ranch.
It starts off with a tranquil mountain scene, but quickly brings the expected fast-paced action and suspense you expect to get from this favorite genre of mine.

Colt Kingston is tough, but not as unstoppable as he'd like to appear to others.

And Tae (Taylor) has some secrets of her own that some would kill to keep silenced.

The romance between these two was realistic, and the family banter was pretty funny.

The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the word "se*y" is used in this book, and I don't approve of that or use the word at all.

Also, I had a hard time connecting to the characters, but maybe that's just me.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Baker Books through Interviews and Reviews. A positive review was not required of me, and the thoughts above are my very own.

Side note: I'd say this series is best read in order. Starting at the end threw me for a loop lol.

Sky King Ranch #3

A story of the homecoming and redemption of the handsome Kingston brothers

This climatic close in the Sky ranch trilogy is a high stake race against the clock with Former Delta Operative Colt Kingston and Tae Price at the center of thrills. Also featured heavily are Colt’s brothers Dodge and Ranger giving us plenty of intense moments along the way. The action is over the top and at times hard to believe. Would an important rescue role be given to an Operative with macular degeneration with a major heart condition...not in real life. I do admit this fast paced action story about saving the world from bio warfare played by a strong irresistible man as lead and a very clever and intelligent woman as a side kick give us exciting roles and a thrill ride. What is spoiling the experience of a great read are the never ending teasing romance and faith aspects that littered the pages. A bit too much, at one point all those sidebars were so annoying that I was tempted to skip pages since they bogged down the flow of what could have been a very captivating story.

This story wasn’t my favourite but it may be an excellent read for those who enjoy a lot of romance and religious connotations overshadowing a fast paced action thriller.

I received this ARC through the First Readers Program for my thoughts.

Sundown is the final installment in Susan May Warren’s Sky King Ranch trilogy. I’ve been eagerly waiting for Colt and Tae’s story since Colt was introduced to us with the Kingston triplets in the first book, Sunrise. We got a bit more of Colt and Tae in book 2, Sunburst, but their story comes to a full and satisfactory conclusion in Sundown.

Colt Kingston is determined to get to the bottom of Taylor–Tae–Price’s story. His brother Dodge and Dodge’s fiancee, Echo, found Tae in a blizzard in book 1, Sunrise. She suffered amnesia and wasn’t speaking for a long time. Once Tae remembered some things, she was too terrified to speak. When she does tell her story, it’s almost too preposterous to be believed.

Tae knows her tale sounds crazy, but it’s true, every word. When her past follows her and endangers the whole Kingston family, she has to leave to keep them safe. Too bad Colt can’t let her go alone.

Adventure, suspense, and intrigue follow to the nail-biting conclusion. Another worthy addition to the Warren tradition of romantic adventure stories with strong and determined heroines and the wounded but willing men who love them.

I love Warren’s stories and Sundown was worth waiting for. I love the twists and turns. I love the interconnecting stories and cross-over characters. I love how a story thread that Warren started stitching in book 1 will complete a lovely pattern in the final book. Although each book can be read as a stand alone, I think they’re enjoyed more if read in order. And since all 3 are available, why not? I highly recommend this book and the whole series!

Sundown is the third book in the Sky King Ranch series. I highly recommend reading them in order.

I enjoyed the first two books in the series, Sunrise, and Sunburst. I was really looking forward to Sundown, but it did not live up to my expectations. I have mixed feelings about the book and will try to explain them. Also, I am reviewing the Kindle edition.

First, I was excited to finally get Colt's story. However, he shares the limelight with his brothers and Tae, with the POV changing between them. I feel Colt got cheated since he didn't get as much coverage as his brothers did. The changing POV was confusing, and in the Kindle version, there was no separation of scenes (you had chapter breaks but no line spaces or anything telling you the POV changed). This got on my nerves. Also, with the changing of perspectives, we got the same conversation twice, especially at the beginning of the book. Once was enough, thank you very much.

Another thing that bothered me was that there were too many coincidences to be believable. Plus, the random changes of topics.

There were some great quotes like this one:

"You don't have to be in charge of everything. I know it's scary, and you hate feeling helpless, but instead of theorizing the end of the story, what if you just...let the story unravel as it should?"

There were some great scenes as well. However, the bioweapon warfare, all the science talk, and the detailed fights were not for me. I am glad I read this one, and it ends nicely, but it was not up to the same standard as the first two (in my opinion).

Thank you to Net Galley and Revell for the opportunity to read this book. I was not required to provide a positive review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The adrenaline, the romance, and the suspense! I couldn’t get enough! Susan May Warren grabbed my interest from the first page and never let it go. When I wasn’t reading this book, I was thinking about what could possibly happen next. Sundown is the third book in the Sky King Ranch series and I could hardly wait to get my hands on it. I first met the Kingston brothers in Sunrise, and loved them even more after Sunburst. This being the third book I was already in love with the three of them. That being said, this book could easily be read as a stand alone novel as well. You would just miss out on some of the wooing from these handsome heroes.

Colt is the guy who runs towards trouble instead of away from it. But usually it’s in the form of a terrorist, and not a beautiful woman. Tae is obviously keeping secrets, and those secrets might stand in the way of Colt protecting everyone he loves. The three brothers have a history, and grudges don’t die easily. Can they all work together to stop what seems to be unstoppable?

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves military and suspense. Oh yeah and the perfect amount of romance is mixed in as well. Warren is the best, and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. I received a copy of this book from Revell Publishers and was in no way forced to post a positive review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Here it is - the third & final book in this exciting Sky King Ranch series by Susan May Warren.
This series is about three brothers, Dodge, Ranger, & Colt.
This book is Colt's story. I've loved the other two, so I knew I'd also love this one.
Colt has always been the troublemaker, the one who thinks of himself as worth less than the others, and therefore, he has also appointed himself as bodyguard and protector for his family and anyone he loves.
Now he needs to learn to see himself how God sees him. Can he do this while still keeping himself and his loved ones safe?
He's intrigued by Tae, but isn't sure he trusts her. But what better way to get to know her than to go with her as she sets out to "save the world" from the next deadly virus outbreak.

This story is so typical of Susan May Warren. It has so much going on. Action, adventure, danger, mystery, and of course, romance. If you love her other books, you are sure to love this one!

Sundown by Susan May Warren nicely ties up the three Kingston’s brothers’ trilogy. With plenty of action, drama, and romance, Warren does not leave her readers’ much room for breathing or taking a break. Sundown is the type of novel that needs to be read in one sitting. Warren surprises the readers with some familiar characters from her previous novels. The romance does round out the story and help develop the characters deeper. Some of my favorite parts of Warren’s recent stories are the third-party character who speaks truth into the characters. The moments of truths dig deep into my heart as well as the characters. Makes me want to think about those words for a little bit longer. The setting and description are nicely handled. Readers will feel like they are in the places and can feel the cold air across their face as Warren details them. Overall, Sundown by Susan May Warren is thrilling way to end a series features three brothers. I recommend all fans of Warren’s writings to pick up this book.

I received a complimentary copy of Sundown by Susan May Warren from Revell Publishing, but the opinions stated are all my own.

All the loose threads from the overarching plot of the series tie together in this concluding book, as well as provide connections to the individual plots in Sunrise and Sunburst. Tae is on a mission to save the world, and Colt's mission is to save her. The epic plot is full of the adventure, suspense, and thrills of an action movie, while also pulling readers into the emotions, romance, and spiritual growth of our main characters. Colt and Tae are so impulsive that I wanted to smack my head sometimes, but with the support of the other Kingston brothers and a network of friends and colleagues, they stay one step ahead (barely) in their quest to thwart the villains threatening them and the country. I enjoyed the variety of locations in this series and it was so satisfying to have the continuing stories of Colt's brothers woven into this last book.

Sundown is the third and final story in the Sky King Ranch trilogy which focuses on fraternal triplets Colt, Dodge, and Ranger. This story focuses on Colt and Tae, but Dodge and Ranger also have prominent roles, which was nice.

I really liked the start of this story. It was interesting and pretty action packed. As the story progressed, I felt like things became too fantastical, so it was kind of hard for me to remain completely invested in the story. I really struggled to believe that someone with macular degeneration and someone with a major heart issue would be allowed to play such prominent roles in the scenario that was set up in this story. That being said, it was full of action, romance and the mending of relationships.

While this story was not my favorite of the series, I think most people will enjoy it with all the fast paced action and romance.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
