10 weeks preggers and desperate to breastfeed. So far the Thompson method has appealed to me over other methods from all the benefits but curious if any mommys out there have tried or have any advise for me to have the best possible chance? I will try anything!

I haven't tried the Thompson method so I can't give much insight there but I'm curious what other women have experience with it. I've been breastfeeding for 7 weeks now and I will say it is much harder than I thought it was going to be. No one really tells you that both you and baby are learning to do this at the same time. I was under the impression that baby just kind of naturally knew how to breastfeed, which they don't.
I'm glad you're searching out information now. I wish I would have done more when I was pregnant to make it easier. I've heard really good things about milkology online classes and they're really inexpensive. Also, find a lactation consultant if you can. My hospital has a wonderful lactation group that made a huge difference with my breastfeeding success.

I started looking into it over the last weeks. LO is 2 w 5 d and we’ve had quite a few ups and downs, blistered and bleeding nipples, latch issues.. mastitis. I wish I’d known about the Thompson Method before I’d had him, but already it’s made a huge difference to us. Baby is having having to unlearn what we were taught at hospital. I highly, highly, highly recommend it!! It will save you all the pain, frustration and upset of having feeding issues.
