Whether you’re diving in for nostalgia or looking to experience a piece of Pokemon history, having some cheat codes to mess with this game is sure to improve your experience.

Pokemon Sapphire Cheats

We’ve pulled together a complete list of Pokemon Sapphire cheats below. These codes are sure to bring some new life into your old games, whatever that means for you.

Of course, you’ll need to know how to use them. Almost all of these are Game Shark codes, which means you would normally need a Game Shark to enter them. Fortunately, most of us are playing a Pokemon Sapphire ROM on a GBA emulator of some type, and they typically have cheat cartridges built into their system.

To get our codes working, just copy the code and place them into the new code portion of your emulator’s cheat code setting. Make sure they’re enabled and you’re off to the races.

As we said, most of these are Game Shark codes, which means they were made to work with a Game Shark. When entering your codes (unless we specify otherwise) you should make sure the code is specified as a Game Shark code if your emulator provides that as an option.

Additionally, while most of our codes will work for any version of the ROM, we’ve found that we get the best performance out of Pokemon Sapphire ROM V1.0.

Item Cheat Codes

The Pokemon Sapphire cheats in this section allow you to cheat items into your PC. To retrieve them, just open up your portion of the PC and withdraw however many of the items you want.

Unlimited Rare Candies

Sure, rare candies are an item but, more importantly, they’re a way to level up your pokemon. With this code, you can get as many pokemon as you want to level 100 without even entering a single battle.

Catching pokemon is one of the core concepts of the game, but it’s not always easy. When a normal Pokeball just won’t cut it, fill your inventory up with master balls and you’ll be ready to go.

Wild Pokemon Encounter Cheat Codes

These Pokemon Sapphire Cheats all affect wild pokemon in one way or another. Whether it’s your ability to catch pokemon or what kind of pokemon you’re running into, you’ll find this is a very useful section.

No Random Encounters

Repels are a great solution to annoying wild pokemon, but they aren’t permanent. This code, however, is. Enable this cheat and you won’t have to worry about any random battles with wild pokemon for your entire playthrough.

Improved Catch Rate

This code isn’t exactly a guaranteed catch like you would get with a master ball, but it is a very helpful tool that will improve your chances to around 80% no matter which ball you’re using.

Shiny pokemon are special because they’re rare pokemon variants. Of course, they’re also really cool to look at and have as a part of your team. Throw this cheat code on and every pokemon you come across will be shiny. Pair it with the next code and you can catch any shiny pokemon you want.

Wild Pokemon Encounter Modifier

The wild pokemon encounter modifier allows you to select exactly which pokemon you want to encounter in the wild. Whether you’re walking around the grass, strolling through a cave, or going for a dive, this code will let any pokemon show up in front of you, even if that’s a rare legendary pokemon like Rayquaza.

Lastly, we have our miscellaneous cheat codes section which is hopefully pretty self-explanatory. These are fun cheats that allow you to mess around with the game in interesting and often useful ways.

Fly Anywhere Cheat

This cheat code allows you to fly to any fly location on the map before you even leave Littleroot. This is great if you really want to mess with the game and try some insane challenges.

The first part of this code gives you access to all ‘Fly-to Areas’, these are towns and other places that you normally gain the ability to fly to once you’ve been there. You can use this even if you plan on flying normally.

The second part of this code pulls up the fly map for you no matter where you are, no matter which pokemon are in your party.
