"my earliest memories of working with dogs are as a child looking forward to visiting my grandfather's Chicago home where he kept an old Folger's coffee can full of milkbones. He loved to befriend the stray alley dogs BY feedING THEM AND SHOWING THEM SIMPLE COMPASSION, transforming them from skittish, anxious, and aggressive TO calm and friendly. needless to say - that made lasting impression.
In the time since, I've volunteered and worked with dogs OF ALL BREEDS, providED boarding, obedience, tracking, and protection training AS A PASSION while pursuing a career in engineering in Illinois and Arizona.
when the opportunity to PURCHASE til mar arose, I immediately sold my home and gave up my engineering career to pursue what previously seemed like an impossible retirement goal. crazy? maybe, but 10-year old me would be proud.
